Prism Energy is launching an upgraded version of its project management software, Prism Apps.
The Aberdeen-based company has made the app more intuitive, with better streamlined navigation.
The development of Prism Apps began a decade ago to complement the consultancy services offered by Prism Energy and as a faster, easier alternative to Microsoft Excel.
Between 2016 and 2020, multiple modules were added to the system such as Risk Management, Action Tracking and Lessons Learned. The software is now used on major CAPEX, ABEX, and OBEX projects in multiple industries around the world.
“Clients can rest assured that we’re enhancing, not removing any of the current functionality within the system,” said MD Andy Sutherland, “We pride ourselves on the customer service we provide, and our in-house software development team are available five days a week to answer queries.”
At the end of 2024, the team reported making more than 400 development modifications to Prism Apps throughout the year, mostly in response to client requests. Sutherland says: “This highlights our adaptability and commitment to responsiveness. Many of these updates are now built into Prism Apps 2.0 as standard features.”

This frees up teams to focus on higher-value work, driving efficiency and better project outcomes. In the new version of the software, users can now raise a Risk, Action, Management of Change (MOC), or Lesson Learned in just a single click.”
