Manchester-based construction consultancy Walker Sime has appointed Peter Jackson as its new UK director of project management.

With more than three decades of industry experience, Jackson is experienced in delivering large-scale projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Jackson’s career includes senior positions at Atkins Realis and Turner & Townsend, where he oversaw the Government Hub Programme for HMRC and town centre regeneration projects in Urmston and Chorlton.

In his new role, Jackson will collaborate closely with Cathy Palmer, director of regeneration delivery, to drive real estate initiatives. His appointment comes at a time when Walker Sime is expanding its project management services, building upon its strong 25-year reputation in the industry.

“The reliability, expertise, and personal touch that Walker Sime is known for really appealed to me. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside several members of the team over the years and have always been impressed by the quality of their work and their collaborative approach,” Jackson said. He added, “Delivering transformative projects that improve people’s lives is what motivates me. Having lived in the North West for most of my life, I am deeply invested in the region and look forward to contributing to Walker Sime’s impactful work in this area.”
