The Association of Project Management (APM) held its Project Management Awards ceremony on Monday, 18 November, at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London.
This was the year the APM celebrated its 20th anniversary of recognising outstanding achievements in the field of project management.
The awards, known for celebrating excellence, endorsing innovation and enhancing careers, saw a record 238 entries judged by an expert panel from the project management profession.
The ceremony showcased the best in project management across various categories, highlighting the industry’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
MIGSO-PCUBED (MP), a values-driven project management consultancy, secured the coveted Company of the Year award. The judges praised MP’s thoughtful submission, which illustrated their contribution to the project profession through their core value of teamwork.
Iconic Project Management Ltd won big in the Small to Medium Enterprise of the Year category. Founded in 2018 by Darren and Lizzie Hewitt, the company has shown remarkable growth in just six years. Iconic impressed judges with its commitment to personal development and innovation. The company has grown to a team of five project managers with a turnover exceeding £1.5M, implemented a successful apprenticeship scheme nurturing talented individuals, and introduced a quarterly ‘thinking day’ to encourage innovation and good practice.
The Programme of the Year award went to The Building Safety Regulator (BSR) Programme, a collaboration between the Health and Safety Executive, PA Consulting, and Codec. This initiative was born out of the need to address regulatory failings exposed by the 2017 Grenfell tragedy. The programme’s key achievements include the establishment of a new regulatory organisation within two years, the development of eight public-facing digital services, and delivery within fixed legislative deadlines and budget constraints.
The APM Project Management Awards 2024 not only recognise outstanding achievements but also underline the vital role of project management in driving innovation and positive change across industries.
